About Chanel

ChanelThere are few people who wake up each morning and think 'I wonder what exciting case I will see today'. In the time I have been working at Small Friends Veterinary Hospital I have seen some amazing transformations in the quality of life of our small friend guests. It is most refreshing to see how happy all small friends are to come and visit us, bounding through the doors without a doubt in the world that they will enjoy their stay.

Growing up in Tathra I have had the privilege of owning all kinds of pets on my parents’ property; ducks that think they are dogs, chickens, mice (Mary & William), rats (Syble & Tricksy Yum Yum), ferrets (Sulky, Jasmine & Frankie), five dogs (Merlin, Jack, Mister, Cindy & Chloe), and our newest family member 'BamBam' a little rescue lamb. It's always an epic adventure going back home to our own little animal farm.

As a well established member of the Small Friends team I felt it was time for to get a small friend of my own to live with me in Canberra. I would like to introduce Dakoda my little Japanese Spitz. We first met back in June when I picked her up from a breeder in Nowra and she is now a registered resident of the ACT. You can read all about Dakoda and her journey as a new puppy with Small Friends Veterinary Hospital here.

Dakoda and I love our outside time; at lunch we like to play fetch on the reserve near our house or go for a little walk around the neighborhood. Dakoda is yet to experience a Canberra summer however I’m sure she will love to lay in the sun watching her mum water skiing, go to the beach, visit friends and family down the coast, and just laze about in the sun.
