Gerald's Jive - Eighth Edition

Big news for me and my canine friends!!!!! There is an enclosed dog park in FORDE!!!!!

Mummy and Daddy have taken me there a few times and I just love it. There are dogs everywhere just having a good time together. When you arrive they all come running over to the gate to greet you – just so welcoming! Once inside it is fun, fun, fun. There are tunnels, hurdles, and dogwalks to play on but I didn't really have time to take full advantage of them as I was too busy socialising. I met one of Daddy's friends from Small Friends Puppy School, his name is Gribbles. He goes to the park all the time and it shows. He seems to know all the other dogs and their owners. We ran around chasing each other until Gribbles was so tired his tongue just hung straight out of his mouth!

All the dogs that have been there when I have visited the dog park are all well aware of "general dog park etiquette" which really added to the enjoyment. For those of you that are new to all this I will briefly outline some tips here for you to save any embarrassment for when you get there.

Dog Park Etiquette:

  • You must be well behaved and do exactly what your human friend tells you as soon as they tell you.
  • If in amongst all the play you get time to go to the toilet your human friend must clean up after you.
  • You should be 'socialised' and know how to behave around other canine small friends and their human friends.
  • You should be healthy and have all your vaccinations up to date.

It really is great fun for you and your family. I encourage everyone to get out there are get amongst it at the Forde Dog Park. Please introduce yourself to me if you see me there!

Until next time,
Gerald

PS I would like to extend a big THANK YOU to the developers of Forde for including this wonderful community facility.
