CATS and DOGS
If you intend to bring your small friend back to Australia
the following protocol is recommended.

• Microchip implantation,

• Rabies

• Blood test to check for rabies antibodies (see note below) |

NB: In order to return to Australia you should ensure that your small
friend's rabies vaccination is kept current (i.e. repeated within
12 months of previous vaccination).
If you do not intend to bring your small friend back
to Australia the following protocol is recommended.

NB: All cats entering Canada require
a rabies vaccination. If this is not administered prior to departing
Australia, Canadian officials will administer it on arrival. We recommend
adminstering a rabies vaccination to dogs also, but
this is not a condition of their entry into Canada.
